Faster (2010)

The action movie called ''Faster'' stars Dwayne ''The Rock'' Johnson who in my opinion played it off very well.

A brief summary about this movie is that it's about a man (Johnson) who just got out of prison and seeks out revenge on behalf of his brother's death. Through out the movie without spoiling it, you figure out his past; couple years back he use to rob banks with his two buddies and his older brother. The distinctive thing about this man is he never robbed the banks... he was the DRIVER. So basically his buddies would go and rob the bank while the driver (Johnson) waited in the car for them to come out so he could take off real quick and using his driving skills he got away every time. Here's a cool scene from the movie showing the getaway!

The action in this movie is fantastic! I thought it was very well choreographed and every second of this movie leaves your heart racing on what will happen next.

 After there last heist (in this clip) they went to there safe house and ended up being set up and got all their money stolen by another crew. After the fact the intruders killed the driver's brother and his friends, and they did shoot Johnson but he survived the gun shot.... So after doing 10 years in the penitentiary for the heist, he sets out in a 1970 Chevelle driving all across the city to find each men who participated in the murders of his brother and friends. Not  only does the driver (Johnson) have the cops (Billy Bob Thorton) on his tail for the killings but also an assassin who was assigned to kill him. So a lot goes on through out this film and as he tries to bring justice upon his brother's death, there's an assassin trying to finish a mission by killing him.





This guy is definitely not your average typical friendly neighborhood man because he is a stone cold killer and has no mercy on no one. Here's another clip showing basically the outline of what you'll be watching if you ever get to it. I strongly recommend this movie if you love action. The acting is very well done, action is fantastic and there's not one boring part of the movie. Overall it's a solid movie and I personally would give it a 7.5/10

Ryan Gosling

You may have heard of the famous actor, Ryan Gosling, He stars in many movies such as
-Drive  (2011)
-Gangster Squad (2013)
-Crazy Stupid Love (2011)
-The Notebook (2004)
-Blue Valentine (2010)

If you didn`t know already Ryan Gosling is a canadian actor, he was born November 12th, 1980. He began doing acting as a kid starring in the Disney`s Channel, Mickey Mouse Club. Through the 90`s Ryan was doing many small projects such as, Are You Afraid Of The Dark, Goosebumps, Breaker High and Ryan Gosling also starred as young hercules, in the television show Young Hercules.

In early 2000`s he starred in his first `REAL` serious role, as a Neo-Nazi in the film called The Believer, but it wasn`t until 2004 when Ryan gained his fame starring in the drama, romance movie with Rachel McAdams called The Notebook. He played the role of a hard working man called Noah who later falls in love with Allie.

Ryan did act in many romance/drama films, but he also did many action movies as well. He starred in Gangster Squad. Set in the late 1940`s, a bunch of cops, try to crack a mafia case. After the police department gives up on them, a group of guys who want to bring justice to Los Angeles come together and call themselves the gangster squad. Doing everything they can to bring mafia mobster Mickey Cohen to justice.

I personally love this scene, and the whole movie, it really shows the many parts of Ryan Gosling. In my opinion I think Ryan is a fantastic actor, because he can play so many different roles from dramatic, to romanctic, to action...










For example the movie Crazy Stupid Love, he`s a cocky guy who gets all the girls and it`s a very comedic role. In the movie he tries to teach a middle aged man (who just recently got divorced) how to attrack women, instead of pushing them away. Here`s a scene below showing his confidence toward women and how he tries to coach his friend to do the same.

In conclusion Ryan Gosling is a terrific actor, and I hope he continues to do many more movies to come.

Brad Pitt

William Bradley Pitt better known as Brad Pitt, was Born in Shawnee Oklahoma (country side), December 18th, 1963. He  is an American actor and film producer. When Brad was in high school he was a member of the golf, swimming and tennis teams.

Once he left high school, he went to University of Missouri for journalism, to go into the advertisement, in 1982. Shockingly two weeks before he graduated, he dropped out to move to Los Angeles, to start his dream, becoming an actor. So once he moved out there he took acting classes and took odd jobs here and there to support himself.

Pitt was not recognized until 1987, when he appeared in the movies No Way Out, No Man's Land and Less Than Zero. Shortly after he started getting interested in television, appearing in a couple episodes of soap operas and sitcoms. In the late 80's and early 90's, Brad Pitt went back in forth in between television shows and movies, still not scoring main roles until, the film The Dark Side Of The Sun (1988).

As the years went by all was well with him, until the movie Interview With The Vampire, where critics say, Brad Pitts performance as a vampire was not well done, and could have been a lot better.

Brad's first recognition in a famous action film was Fight Club which was made in 1999. For this film, he actually took up boxing, grappling and taekwondo. Brad also removed parts of his teeth for the film, which were later fixed after the film ended. ''Go Big Or Go Home!??!!'' People adored Brad's performance in this film, and as the years went on he appeared in many other action films such as Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Inglorious Bastards, Ocean's Eleven/Ocean's Twelve.

One of his newest ones in 2013, World War Z, an intense action thriller zombie film. Post apocalyptic; he tries to stop the zombies from taking over the world, and tries to find the cure. It's a great film and recommended for anyone interested in thrillers. Trailer below.

Overall, Brad Pitt is a great actor. He stars in many great films and I hope he continues to do so, for years to come.

Jack Reacher (2012)

-The Action-Packed movie Jack Reacher was released on December 21st, 2012, and is based off the 2005 novel ``One Shot`` written by Jim Grant, who goes by the name Lee Child.
-It`s about a man, Jack Reacher (played by Tom Cruise) who was a former Major in the United States Army Military Police Corps, and retired at the age of 36. He now takes odd jobs which involves crime. He investigates suspicious crimes that do not make sense, and breaks them down.

The movie takes place in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, when a man pulls out a sniper rifle and kills 5 innocent people. Investigators have found a suspect for the crime, but once Jack reacher comes in the picture, he digs deeper in the investigation to prove the man`s innnocence and find the right man, and why those 5 people?....

I`d give this movie a solid 5 stars for great story line, and action packed. This one bar fight scene is incredibly choreographed, and shows how Jack Reacher was trained for many years here`s the link fast foward to 3:10 to watch the fight!

There`s also the car chase scene I really liked and at one point he does something funny and smart


As you can see from these two short clips it`s a good movie, and the story line is very cool, and leaves you thinking on what`s going to happen next. I recommend this movie for anyone, even if you are not a big fan of action or thriller, the story line is twisted and leaves you on the edge of your seat.

Al Pacino

Alfredo James Pacino, better known as Al Pacino is an american film and stage actor and director. Born April 25th, 1940 (age 73) was born in East Harlem, New York. As you may know already his heritage is Italian. Before his film journey, he began as a baseball player. He dropped out of many class, but English class, but unfortunately he left school at the age of 17 (High school Drop-Out). He worked many small jobs like a janitor, clerk...

He began acting in New York city. As he didn't have much money he usually slept at friends houses, or the streets; he was homeless.

After four years at HB studio, Pacino successfully auditioned for the Actors Studio. It's a membership for professional actors, theatre directors, and playwrights.

Al's first acting gig in a film was in 1971, a film called The Panic in Needle Park, which he played a heroin addict, which brought attention to himself by director Francis Ford Coppola, who later on ended up directing the film The God Father. Al Pacino played the role Michael Corleone in the movie, (he even beat out Robert De Niro for the role) which was the God Father's son. His performance got him an Academy Award nomination.

2 years later he played in many other movies such as Scarecrow, Serpico. In the sequel to The God Father, he starred again as Michael Corleone, which was the first sequel to win the Best Picture Oscar, and then nominated for his third Oscar. Later on The God Father became trilogy, which he was in again as Mike.

His most famous film the he's in, in my opinon would have to be the classic action film, Scarface which was released in 1983, about Tony Montana (Al Pacino) a small town chef who turns into the most powerful drug lord.

Taken (2009)

Plot
This action film stars Liam Neeson as Bryan Mills, a retired CIA agent who is trying to make up for lost time with his daughter. Later in this film his teenage daughter Kim wants to go to Paris, France with her 18 year old friend... after a lot of convincing he lets her leave. Still a concerned father he makes multiple phone calls until she finally picks up. Suddenly as she does , she witnesses a kidnapping of her friend, and then she aswell is kidnapped in their apatement. After planning a flight, Bryan Mills sets off to Paris to look for his daughter. He then figures out that his daughter was abused, hooked on drugs and put in to prostitution. Using his CIA skills, he finds creative ways of tracking her footsteps, taking down every albanian ouot in his way.

Without ruining the ending, he sets off on an adventure to try to save his daughter in amount of under 72 hours.

Action
The action in this movie is fantastic, and very thrilling. Things happen so fast in the movie, without being to lost. It`s very quick and looks very realistic. Liam Neeson must of took some type of class to be in this film, because he uses some very distinct solid moves. Like for example the throat attack, at the airoport in Paris.

Acting
The acting is also very incredible. Liam Neeson brings a performance of a daring man, and at the same time a loving and caring father. He also has this fantastic monologue that he does over the phone, when he is socializing with the man who kidnapped his daughter. The famous ``I don`t know who you are..``

Cinematography/Director

The cinematography is also very cool, it`s a very dark and depressing setting (As you can see in my last link above), and it shows Bryan Mills personality; with all his dark secrets and how he`s sad because
-he`s divorced and doesn`t have much of a connection with his daughter.

Jason Statham

You made of heard of  the english actor, Jason Statham from action movies like:
-Transporter 1,2
-The Mechanic
-The Italian Job
-Crank 1,2
-Death Race
This guy, is probably one of my all time favourite guys, to star in a action movie! He`s quick, he looks intimidating, and fits in every movie that he`s been in.

Born in 1967, Jason Statham, is also a producer, martial artist (which is why he`s so famous for being in action films). He first got his fame when he was spotted by the sports agency.
Guy Ritchie, a famous director, was the first one to introduce him to the movie industry, in 1998.

Ever since then, he`s been appearing in basically every other action movie, even though he plays the same type of character in each movie, he`s still a great pick for a solid action film!

His latest movie that he stars in, is Fast and the Furious 6, which is a great action film.

-Good lookin`girls!
-Fight scenes
Who wouldn't want to see it!

Several of his movies have reached the box office, and have grossed over 1 billion $. His most popular movie series he's been in is the Expendables, starring Sylvestre Stallone, Terry Crews, Jet Li, and Chuck Norris....[ETC]. The Expendables 1,2 are basically just men in their 50's and 60's kicking a**.
